I would like to say hello of all the new students and staff that have arrived at Thomas More this term.

Please take a moment of your time to explore this library blog.  There is information that will help you with class work, homework and support you with school life.

Keep a look out for the weekly Where in the world? competition which can be found on the right hand side of this page.

Don't forget you can use the library before school, during break and lunch then after school.

Summer Reading and Book Review Competition

Why not check out your local library for great new books to read over the summer.  The librarians will always be able to help with recommendations.
Most libraries will be running events aimed at children and teenagers.  Have a look at these links for more information.

Croydon Libraries               Sutton Libraries

The love reading 4 kids website has lists of recommended books to read over the summer.  There is also lots of information about other books with a Special Features section and a Top 10 section.
You should then be able to borrow most of these books at your local library or buy them at your local book shop.

Have you enjoyed the book you've read?
Would you recommend it to others?

If so then please write a book review.
It can take any format but must include the following:

  • Book title
  • Author
  • Genre
  • An illustration
  • Your name

There will be a prize for the best review.  It will be judged on presentation, spelling and effort.  All the entries will be displayed in the FLC.

Please ensure that your book review is handed into the FLC by Friday 8th September 2017 and don't forget to include your name.
